C8 and Daikin Deliver High-Performance HVAC Solution at Plaza House

C8 was delighted to work in close partnership with Daikin on the delivery of a high-performance HVAC solution at Plaza House, Admiral Park in Guernsey.

This landmark development represents the largest project C8 has undertaken in its 10 years of business, showcasing all of the systems it installs, and marking a significant milestone for the company.

The project was led by Ian Le Sauvage, whose oversight and coordination ensured the successful delivery of a complex, large-scale installation. Plaza House is also notable as the first BREEAM-accredited building in Guernsey, utilising the latest technologies to ensure it operates as efficiently and sustainably as possible.

The installation with Daikin involved 36 VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) roof-mounted condensers, a high-efficiency solution well suited to large commercial buildings. VRV technology allows multiple indoor units to be served by a single outdoor system, providing precise and flexible climate control across the building while maximising usable space at ground level.

With Plaza House located just 20 metres from Guernsey’s east coast, protecting external equipment from corrosion was a key consideration. Coastal environments expose HVAC systems to salt and moisture that can accelerate deterioration if left unaddressed. To mitigate this, Daikin supplied Blygold anti-corrosion treatment for all outdoor units, providing additional protection to help maintain performance and extend system lifespan in challenging coastal conditions.

This project demonstrates how strong partnerships, proven technology and careful planning come together to deliver HVAC solutions designed for long-term reliability, performance and energy efficiency.
